Crime and Punishment: What I Learned

Imagen
Crime and Punishment: What I Learned I worked with the resource “Reporting What Somebody Said” , which focused on reported speech in the context of crime and punishment. This material explained how to report what others say, especially in police or legal situations, using real examples. It helped me practice grammar structures while expanding my knowledge of legal vocabulary and cultural aspects. It was useful to connect language learning with real-world topics.

Critical Thinking and Media Literacy

Critical Thinking and Media Literacy One of the most interesting resources I used was “Hidden Messages Mass Media” , an interactive material that taught me how to detect hidden messages and persuasive techniques in the media. By exploring ads, news, and social media, I learned to reflect critically on what I see online and understand how information can influence people’s opinions. This activity also helped me improve my vocabulary related to media and practice reading comprehension in English.

How I Use English at Work

How I Use English at Work     At work, I use English to write emails, understand instructions, and sometimes communicate with international clients. Learning English has improved my confidence at work and made me feel more prepared for new challenges.

Challenges and Frustrations

Challenges and Frustrations   At first, I felt frustrated because I was afraid to make mistakes when speaking. I also had trouble understanding fast conversations or slang. But little by little, I learned to be patient, practice more, and accept that mistakes are part of learning.

My Favorite Language Learning Apps

My Favorite Language Learning Apps       To practice English, I use Duolingo for vocabulary, YouTube for listening, and WordReference for translations. These apps help me practice every day, even if I have little time. They make learning fun and accessible from my phone.       Here is an example of tools also learnt during the training, in this case stop motion.
